TBONG KHMUM: The Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, Wang Wentian, has said that China will always stand with Cambodia in the fight against Covid-19, stating that China will continue to provide assistance to Cambodia to overcome the global pandemic. He added that in a few days, China will send a team of doctors abroad, and the first team will come to Cambodia.

The Ambassador made these remarks while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Cambodia-China Friendship Hospital in Tbong Khmum on Monday morning. Ambassador Wang Wentian stated he is confident that Cambodia will overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. He said, "As long as China and Cambodia join hands, there are no difficulties that both countries cannot overcome."

He further congratulated Cambodia for the achievement of the new hospital in Tbong Khmum province, which will contribute to improving the well-being of people in the northeast of the country. The hospital was built with a US $50 million grant from the Chinese government, and was completed in late 2021.
