Cambodian Premier League (CPL1) Postponed Due to Covid19 New Date Tuesday 8th

PHNOM PENH: Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC v Kirivong Soksenchey FC was meant to kick off the new season of the Cambodian Premier League Saturday. Covid 19 has put it to a halt.

A new date has been announced, Tuesday 8th at 6.30 pm at the Svay Rieng stadium.

Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng Football Club has 3 goalkeepers tested positive Covid-19. Club officials and other players who have tested negative, will need to wait for results to be confirmed of three players to be released that who have been tested positive.

The 2022 Season of CPL 1 will feature defending champions Phnom Penh Crown FC, Visakha FC, Boeung Ket FC, Tiffy Army FC, Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC, Kirivong Sok Sen Chey FC and NagaWorld FC.

Cambodian football league has become confusing with two league’s CPL1 and CPL2. Talking to football fans know one seems to know what’s happing, who is playing, where and the main point when.

The CPL, the namesake company running Cambodia’s top football league, has yet to release the schedule rest of the 2022 Season.

Let’s hope things get sorted out quickly and run smoothly the Cambodian’s are excited to get their football back.
