Cambodia Premier League prepare to kick off 5 March

PHNOM PENH: Cambodian Premier League kicks off 5th of March. A press conference was held to introduce the team and their captains.

2022 Cambodian Premier League is the 36th season of the Cambodian Premier League. Contested by 8 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Cambodian League 2.

Due to the new policies and regulations implemented by the newly established Cambodian Football League Company, there will be only eight teams competing this season in a triple round-robin match.

The Cambodian Premier League has organized the CPL Press Kickoff Event 2022 to showcase the new uniforms of the eight football clubs of the Cambodian Premier League and to show the interest of the players who are preparing for the new season.

With a joint photoshoot of all the players and General Managers of all the 8 football clubs.

H.E. Mikami Masahiro, Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia, has reaffirmed his support for Cambodia’s development, especially in the football sector.

The remark was made during a recent meeting here between H.E. Ambassador and Mr. Honda Keisuke, General Manager of the Cambodian national team, as well as Japanese football players in the Cambodian league and representatives from sponsoring Japanese companies.

“We believe that it was a great opportunity for them to get to know each other and unite their efforts to support Cambodian football toward SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia,” said H.E. Mikami Masahiro.

H.E. Ambassador expressed his hope that all Japanese stakeholders do their best in each field to contribute to the further development of Cambodia, including football.

Although they are trying to get things running smoothly, where are their website and fixture? How will they get new fans and sponsors?
