APSARA Authority Launches Training Course on "Standards in Land Management and Construction Management in Angkor"
SIEM REAP: APSARA Authority held a professional training course on "Standards in Land Management and Construction Management in Angkor Resort" at the Angkor Conference Hall, for officials from the Department of Public Order and Cooperation and the Department of Land Management and Housing Management in Angkor Park, including 100 students of the Faculty of Architecture of the Royal University of Fine Arts on Wednesday, 2 March.
The purpose of this training is to strengthen capacity and provide additional knowledge to APSARA Authority staff and students, on the work of construction evaluation, the legal standards of construction management in the Angkor resort area and the procedures for coordinating work effectively in line with the direction of the APSARA Authority, especially to educate and disseminate knowledge to students on the work of the APSARA Authority and the management of the Angkor World Heritage Site.
The speaker, the Deputy Director of the Department of Land Management and Housing Management in Angkor Park, Sim Bunthoeun, presented four main points to the participants:
1. Legal law (land management and use, denial of construction law, construction permits)
2. Khmer housing construction (general characteristics of Khmer houses, construction type of Khmer houses, technical characteristics of Khmer house construction and decoration)
3. Changing the construction of Khmer houses
4. Principles of APSARA Authority in managing traditional houses in Angkor Park.
After completing this training, all participants will have gained the necessary knowledge to effectively improve the standards in land management and construction management in Angkor.
