Chinese Ambassador: Building a Common Destiny Between Cambodia and China Will Bring More Benefits to Both Countries

TAKEO: Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, Wang Wentian, has said the experience of living through the Covid-19 pandemic has shown the strength and sincerity between Cambodia and China. He has further stressed that building a common destiny between China and Cambodia will be beneficial to both countries even more.

Ambassador Wang Wentian made these remarks during the inauguration ceremony of the new section of National Road No. 3 on Wednesday morning, in Tram Kak district, Takeo province. The road was built in 34 months between October 2018 to July 2021, with a total budget of US $215 million with the assistance of the People's Republic of China, together with the budget of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

"We have good reason to believe that Cambodia will be better tomorrow. Building a common destiny between China and Cambodia will bring greater benefits to the people of both countries," he said.

He also stressed that China will support Cambodia's ASEAN leadership, believing that Cambodia will contribute to building more peace and stability in the region. China has also expressed support for the upcoming Cambodian elections.
