Ukraine's President Zelenskiy Calls on Citizens to Fight, Promises Weapons

INTERNATIONAL: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Thursday ,February 24, has called on all citizens who were ready to defend the country from Russian forces to come forward, saying Kyiv would issue weapons to everyone who wants them. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are indeed involved in heavy fighting, repelling attacks in Donbass and other regions: east, north, south.

The president has confirmed that they have wounded soldiers since Thursday morning. In those hospital, where blood is needed, he pleaded and has asked the citizens to join and become blood donors for Ukraine’s defenders. Zelenskiy has urged Ukrainians to become blood donors in hospitals for wounded soldiers.
