3 Thais and 2 Cambodians Arrested for Attempting to Illegally Cross Border into Thailand

BANTEAY MEANCHEY: Police along the Cambodian-Thai border at Boeung Saku arrested three Thai women and two Cambodian boys intending to cross the border illegally from Cambodia to Thailand at 08:30 PM, on Saturday, 19 February, in front of Star Villa in Prey Prich Village, Poipet City in Banteay Meanchey Province.

The commander of the 911th Border Guard Battalion, Lt. Col. So Channary, said that the three Thais are:

1. Kanokwan Chuirattana, female, 20 years old.

2. Sayamon Marin, female, 21 years old.

3. Supaporn Krimjai, female, 37 years old

The 2 Cambodians are:

1. Im Kimsong, male, 16 years old, from Kbal Koh Village, Sangkat Poipet, Poipet City.

2. Chan French, male, 14 years old, from Kbal Koh Village, Sangkat Poipet, Poipet City.

The two Cambodians were acting as the carriers for the three Thai women. Police confiscated two motorcycles, one Honda Dream series 2019 and one Honda Dream series 2011 from the group.

Lt. Col. So Channary added that after interrogating the individuals at the 911th Border Guard Battalion Command, they will request for higher-level guidelines for further action.
