Phnom Penh Capital Administration Assigns Tasks to 14 Districts to Deal with Irregularities on February 14

PHNOM PENH: Phnom Penh Capital Administration has decided to assign tasks to the 14 districts in cooperation with the Department of Education, the Department of Culture, the Department of Women's Affairs, and the Department of Health to monitor and take action against any irregular activities that may occur on Valentine's Day.

According to the guidance on 13 February 2022, the Governor of Phnom Penh, Khuong Sreng, banned all gatherings of students and youth in all forms at public and private educational institutions and public places in Phnom Penh area, due to concerns regarding the spread of Covid-19 Omicron into large-scale community spread.

Phnom Penh Capital Administration also urges the management of educational institutions, teachers, parents and guardians to work hard to educate and guide all students and children to respect the traditions and culture of Cambodia. So that they do not confuse the day of February 14 as the day for boyfriend/girlfriend or a date between lovers and to avoid any immoral acts.

Phnom Penh Capital Administration sent to the 14 Khan administrations to cooperate with the relevant departments to implement the contents of this instruction effectively and responsibly.
