Ministry of Economy Gives 7 days for Opennet Internet Company to Pay Debts to the State

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a notice on 10 February 2022 to Opennet King Technology, a tax-paying internet service provider, on the company's unfulfilled debt payment to the state yet.

The two ministries have decided to set aside seven days from the date of issuing this notice for the company to come and fulfill its obligation to pay its Revenue Share and other debts owed to the state.

The ministries stated that if the company still refuses to pay its debts to the state, they will take action to suspend the company's license and implement Article 78 of the Telecommunications Law, as well as take other measures in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
