PM Arrives in Seoul This Afternoon

South Korea: Prime Minister Hun Sen arrived in Seoul, South Korea at 2:35 PM local time (12:35 PM in Cambodia).

Upon his arrival at Incheon International Airport, the Prime Minister and his delegation were warmly greeted by senior South Korean officials, the Cambodian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, along with several other Cambodian officials.

At the Lotte World Hotel, where the Prime Minister will be staying, he was further greeted by the Director General of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), Yun Young-Ho, the President of UPF, Dr. Thomas G. Walsh, and other members of UPF, including students and many Cambodians studying and working in South Korea.

Prime Minister Hun Sen departed from Cambodia at around 8 AM on Thursday morning to co-chair the 2022 World Peace Summit and receive the Sunhak Peace Prize, which is being held in Seoul, South Korea from 10-13 February 2022.

The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has previously said that during the four-day visit to the Republic of Korea, Prime Minister Hun Sen will also meet with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, the former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and the heads of state of several other countries, as well as receive hearings from other political figures and businessmen.
