Two UXO Bullets Found at the Stream on the Cambodian-Thai Border

BATTAMBANG: Two unexploded ordnance (UXO) were found as the 817th Border Guard Police Battalion and the 13th Kilo Border Post Force, in cooperation with the Sampov Loun Armed Forces,that patrolled the Cambodia-Thailand border area.

The police have said that the unexploded ordnance was found while patrolling the border area on the morning of 7 February 2022 at the border in Po Chrey village, Serey Meanchey commune Sampov Loun District, Battambang Province.

Experts have said that the two unexploded ordnance found were DK 75 bullets, and were not the bombs that the gang hid, but remaining bullets since the war, based on it’s type, condition, age and fragility of the bullet.

After finding these bullets, the police have reported and handed them over to the professional officers of the Mine Action Center (CMAC) in Cambodia to be destroyed.
