Kampong Speu provincial authorities have begun taking down billboards advertising alcoholic beverages amid a liquor sales ban in the province.

The governor Vy Samnang ordered alcohol billboards to be scrapped and replaced with those that “promote health”, without confirming a timeframe for the ban on the adverts.

This decision was made during an emergency meeting with the Covid 19 commission to combact the pandemic in Kampong Speu Province
