Strong Winds Destroy 23 Houses in Malai District

BANTEAY MEANCHEY: 23 houses in Malai district were damaged by strong winds and heavy rain at 6 PM on 2 February 2022.

The Commander of the 815th Border Guard Battalion, Colonel Suong Sao, said that rain mixed with strong winds had damaged 23 houses in two villages in Tuol Pong commune, Malai district, Banteay Meanchey province. Eight houses were heavily damaged and some fruit crops were also affected, but the weather did not cause harm to people and animals.

At this time, intervention forces are helping to prepare and collect pieces of metal and wood to help repair the damaged houses of those affected.
