INTERNATIONAL: Ogier Grabs Early Lead Over Loeb as WRC Season Gets Underway in Monte Carlo

 Sebastien Ogier has topped the timsheets as the 2022 World Rally Championship got underway on Thursday night , January 20, in Monte Carlo.

Ogier, the eight time and defending WRC champ, has powered his Toyota Gazoo Racing Yaris to an almost seven second advantage over nine time WRC champ Sebastien Loeb in his new M-Sport Ford Puma after the completion of SS2.

The World Rally Championship will see a new champion in 2022 with the 38-year-old Ogier driving just a part-time schedule for Toyota while the 47-year-old Loeb currently has just a one rally deal with Ford.

Six special stages are scheduled for Friday , January 21, beginning with SS3 Roure - Bueil.
