Government Plans to Upgrade Three National Roads to Connect Kep With National Road 3

KEP: The Minister of Public Works and Transport, Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, said that the Ministry of Public Works and Transport plans to renovate National Road 31, National Road 33 and National Road 41, to connect Kep with the newly built National Road 3 that was recently completed.

The Minister made this statement during the inauguration ceremony of Kep-Tonsay Island Tourism Port in Kep City, Kep Province on 19 January 2022.

He emphasized that the construction of these national roads is to facilitate the transportation of agricultural and industrial products, especially to bring development in Kep by attracting national and international tourists to visit the province even more.

According to a report from the Governor of Kep Province, Som Piseth, the construction and rehabilitation of various infrastructures (such as new concrete, rubber (AC) and double-layer rubber (DBST) coastal road, widening of National Road 33A, paved road with red gravel and new sand at the beach, new drainage system, rainwater harvesting system, wastewater treatment plant, beach water treatment around the Crab Market, 24-hour electricity, clean water, new public park, pole installation with led street lighting) helps to inspire environmental sanitation, promote beauty and maintenance of public spaces and make the province clean and beautiful in all seasons of the year to attract more national and international tourists.
