ASEAN region has reported a total of 15,726,622 Covid-19 cases

INTERNATIONAL: On 17 January 2022 the ASEAN region has reported a total of 15,726,622 Covid-19 cases, this includes 310,173 deaths. The data was released by Worldometer, a website that is compiling Covid-19 statistics from around the globe.

At 10:00 a.m this morning, total cases and deaths per ASEAN member state are:
- Indonesia: 4,271,649 people (144,170 deaths)
- Philippines: 3,205,396 people (52,907 deaths)
- Malaysia: 2,808,347 people (31,793 deaths)
- Thailand: 2,331,414 people (21,941 deaths)
- Vietnam: 2,023,546 people (35,609 deaths)
- Myanmar: 533,144 people (19,302 deaths)
- Singapore: 291,849 people (843 deaths)
- Laos: 124,731 people (495 deaths)
- Cambodia: 120,796 people (3,015 deaths)
- Brunei: 15,750 people (98 deaths)
