Cambodia, Vietnam Talks on Bilateral Military Cooperation

PHNOM PENH: During a videoconference held this Tuesday morning between the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), Gen. Von Pisen and Deputy Minister of National Derfence and Chief of Staff of the Vietnamese People’s Army, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuon, both nationals have appreciated their bilateral cooperation in the military sector.

The Cambodian and Vietnamese Generals exchanged views on the army’s role for supporting their government in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The cooperation between the countries in the past has been also remembered, with Gen. Von Pisen and General Nguyen Tan Cuon showing their commitment to boost collaborations, specially in disasters rescues.

The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) will be chairing the 19th ASEAN Chiefs of Defence Force’s Meeting (ACDFM-19), with General Vong Pisen inviting the Vietnamese counterpart to join the meeting in presence, in Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh, in March.
