PHNOM PENH: Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Sunday took a break from work to play golf, which he has said would be the occasion to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the January 7 Liberation Day and after a successful completion of his work in Myanmar.
The premier wrote on his Facebook page in Sunday, along with 17 photos of Samdech Hun Sen; "Golf to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Liberation on January 7 and after a few days exhausted.”
January 7, 2022 is the 43rd anniversary of Victory Over Genocide , also known as Victory Day, when the United Front for National Salvation overthrew the genocidal regime of Pol Pot, which restored the rights of the Cambodian people and led to the country's development until the present.
Coincided with the date, Prime Minister headed a two-day visit to Myanmar as the first head of state to visit the country after the military took over. As a result, the Myanmar military government agreed to extend the ceasefire until the end of 2022, the premier has facilitated the process of receiving ASEAN humanitain aid, and facilitated the ASEAN Special Envoy to meet with all parties that stuck in the conflict in Myanmar, including the ethnic Armed minorities group as well.
