Preparations for ASEAN Tourism Forum 2022 in Mid-January Underway

Sihanoukville: The Ministry of Tourism has announced that Cambodia is preparing to host the 40th ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in two weeks in Preah Sihanouk Province from 16-22 January. The Minister of Tourism, Thong Khon, and the Governor of Preah Sihanouk province, Kuoch Chamroeun, held a meeting on Sunday and led a delegation to inspect the venue for the upcoming ATF 2022.

The Ministry has stated that the tourism ministers and senior officials from all 10 ASEAN Member States have confirmed they will be joining ATF 2022 and other related meetings. They also report that 107 buyers from 35 countries, including 7 from Cambodia, will participate in the forum’s travel trade fair, TRAVEX, which will have 187 stands.

The Cambodian Minister of Tourism has recommended all relevant working groups to cooperate with provincial authorities to ensure a smooth and safe ATF 2022 in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the Ministry of Health and Tourism of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration.
