China's Auto Production Sales Rise Encouraging Growth Trajectory

INTERNATIONAL: China's vehicle production and sales have been maintaining an encouraging growth trajectory in the first eleven months of this year, posting a 5.8-percent growth in logistics volume from automakers against the backdrop of surging demand and marketing revival.

Data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) indicated that China's vehicle production and sales reached 2.59 million units and 2.52 million units, respectively, in November, with a 10.9-percent rise in auto production and an 8.1-percent rise in sales.

According to CAAM, new energy vehicle (NEV) production and sales hit an all-time high in November, reaching 457,000 units and 450,000 units, respectively. NEV production in China jumped 15.1 percent in November, while NEV sales rose by 17.3 percent.

At an auto logistics firm in Beijing, an operator has said due to a global chip shortage, car production has gone down since the beginning of this year. But as the chip supply gradually eased since November, sales of vehicles and auto parts increased significantly, and the inventory is dropping.

According to a manager from an automobile dealership in the capital city, the vehicle delivery has been picking up since the last quarter of this year.

The orders and delivery have been greatly improved in November, with a month-on-month increase of 10 to 15 percent in November compared to the average data over past three months," said the General manager of Beijing BAIC Penglong Automobile Service Trading Company, Zhang Zhengye.
