PM: No Colour Revolution to Happen Again

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has strongly emphasized that no more "colour revolution" that will ever happen in Cambodia as long as he is the standing Prime Minister. He is speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the new building of thr Ministry of National Defence on Wednesday morning.

According to the Prime Minister, weapon control is very important in order to prevent another colour revolution, especially from the opposition party. He says that the army and military must also be strongly controlled.

Prime Minister Hun Sen says, "As long as I am the Prime Minister, I have the rights to order and control the army and the military. If they don't respect, they will be immediately removed from the service."

The Prime Minister has also mentioned Sam Rainsy for being "stupid" for making issues on his eldest son's degree - Hun Manet. Manet is the future Prime Ministerial candidate of the Cambodian People's Party.

Prime Minister Hun Sen has highlighted that in 2023, he will be the father of the Prime Minister. However, he will step down as the current Prime Minister whenever he wants.

The Prime Minister stresses, "There is no hope for the opposition and other groups planning for a colour revolution. Even though time comes that I will no longer be the Prime Minister, I am still the leader of the party."
