PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen announced that 15 new imported cases of Omicron have been detected in Cambodia. The total tally of Omicron cases in the Kingdom is now at 31.

The Prime Minister made this announcement in his speech on Sunday evening at the Handover Ceremony of Pfizer Vaccines from the Government of Australia. The first batch of the vaccines arrived on Sunday night, and the next batch is expected to arrive on Tuesday.

In light of the new Omicron cases, Prime Minister Hun Sen urged everyone to take caution but to not panic because this new variant has so far shown to not be as deadly as previous variants.
