Officials Suspend 2 Non-Technical Car Processing Businesses in Battambang

BATTAMBANG: The Battambang Provincial Commission for Inspection of Non-Technical Vehicles has signed a contract to suspend the business of two non-technical car recycling garages in Battambang City, after finding that the two garages are engaged in the business of processing cars without permission.

Deputy Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Battambang Province, So Ponnarong, said that the two suspended businesses are “Cheang Touch Garage” in Wat Kor Sangkat, Battambang City, owned by Yang Hok Lian, and “John Samnang Garage Call (Hing)” located in Sangkat Svay Por, Battambang City.

He added that the suspension was issued after the garages were found to be secretly engaged in illegally changing steering wheels without a license. The business owners were told to apply for a business license in accordance with the law, after which their business will be allowed to resume.

The business owners also promised to not continue doing illegal business without a license, and that once they are able to resume their business, they will be responsible and abide by the law.
