CPP Spokesperson: To Have an Enduring Peace and Human Security, We Do Not Cause Crisis to the Party

PHNOM PENH: CPP spokesman Sous Yara has said that the achievement of the election of two more-party vice presidents and trust in Hun Manet as the future prime ministerial candidate is a show to the world that the party are a united party that guarantees the protection of Cambodia peace, avoiding persecution or geopolitical rivalries of the superpowers.

Speaking at a press conference after the 43rd Central Committee Meeting of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) on Friday, Mr. Sous Yara has mentioned that the CPP has made people's security, national security a top priority of the party rather than thinking of the person selected as the Prime Minister candidate.

"The main reason is that we want to show that the CPP is united internally and will have a strong unity because of the resistance to the enemy and the persecution of the geopolitical rivalry of the great powers, the maintenance of peace and National stability is bigger than internal competition or running for office or running for prime minister, it's more than anything else.Therefore, it does not mean that no one is capable of competing, but all, no matter how capable, no matter how good, all serve each corner of the country, so the unity of each corner unites Get special resources, HE Hun Manet is our only candidate.

According to Mr. Sous Yara, the election happened this Friday, Mr. Hun Manet has received the full support of the members of the Central Committee who participated.

The 43rd Meeting of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has officially decided to elect DPM Tea Banh as the party's Vice President and DPM Men Sam An as the Vice President of the Party, and PM Hun Sen still has the support. Candidate for the Prime Minister and unanimously elected Mr. Hun Manet as the candidate for the Prime Minister for the future.

The Cambodian People's Party was formed on 28 June 1951 by Cambodian nationalists to liberate the Cambodian nation from French colonization is the oldest party in Cambodia and led the struggle to liberate the Cambodian people from the Khmer Rouge regime in 1979 and has led the country to the present.

Currently, the party is led by PM Hun Sen as chairman and has two vice presidents, Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng and Samdech Vibol Sena Say Chhum, and Samdech Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin as honorary president. The CPP Central Committee has 865 members.
