Molnatris Medicine for Covid-19 Treatment Starts Selling in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: The drug Molnatris (Molnupiravir 200 mg), which is an oral antiviral drug for treatment of mild to moderate cases of Covid-19 in adults, will begin sale and distribution to private hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and the public on Thursday, 23 December 2021.

The import and arrival of this drug to Cambodia was announced in a notification issued by the Working Group for the Management, Distribution and Supply of Strategic Medicines for Combatting Covid-19. The drug was approved for distribution in November by the Ministry of Health.

Molnatris (Molnupiravir 200 mg) will be sold at $55 per box (containing 40 tablets) under the following conditions:

- Each individual can order between five to ten doses (boxes)

- Private hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and sub-pharmacies with an official business license can order between ten to 200 doses, and can resell up to $65 per dose (box)

- Private hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, sub-pharmacies and the public can re-order the medicine after at least 2 weeks since their last order
