PM States Deputy PM Aun Pan Moniroth Will Retain Position Even After He Resigns

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has stated that even after he has resigned from his role as Prime Minister in the future, Deputy Prime Minister Aun Pan Moniroth will continue to retain his position as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance.

The Prime Minister made this statement during his speech at the inauguration of the new administration building for the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, on Thursday morning.

Deputy Prime Minister Aun Pan Moniroth was the former personal secretary of Prime Minister Hun Sen since after he returned from studying in Russia. He has been serving as the Minister of Economy and Finance since 2013, after many years as Secretary of State.

He received his PhD from Moscow University of Social and Political Science in 1993, studied at the International School of Business in Moscow from 1991 to 1992, and also completed his Bachelor's Degree in Russia.
