PM Hun Sen Postpones Kun Nhim’s Retirement Until 2025

PHNOM PENH: During the inauguration ceremony of the new administrative building of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, Prime Minister Hun Sen has delivered his speech, saying he has decided to extend the retirement of the Director General of the Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia. The Prime Minister has given indications that Kun Nhim should be in charge until 2025.

On Thursday morning, Prime Minister Hun Sen has inaugurated the new administrative building of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, sharing during his speech the information that Director General of the Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, Kun Nhim, will be in charge until 2025.

The Prime Minister has stated that Kun Nhim should postpone his retirement, since he hasn’t shown any sing of age, having strength and ability to lead the customs institution, an important sector of government responsible for collecting national income and revenues.

The current Director General of the General Department of Customs and Excise, Kum Nhim, has been in charge since September of 2014, replacing Mr. Pen Simon, who retired.
