400,000 Tones of Milled Rice to be Exported to China

PHNOM PENH: According to the Chairman of the Board of the Cambodia Rice Federation Hun Lak, an export agreement have been signed in November this year with plans to start its execution in December, lasting seventeen months.
The chairman has also stated that China’s quota for milled rice export from the years of 2014 and 2022 has helped significantly improve agricultural harvests. China keeps being the biggest partner for Cambodian milled rice, absorbing 50% of the exports. Besides China, the Kingdom has trades with 40 other countries.
Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines are the biggest markets between the ASEAN region, while 19 European nations imports Cambodian milled rice.
So far, Cambodia has already exported 532,179 tons of milled rice since January this year. The profits of all exports can reach $366 million.
