PHNOM PENH: Cambodia will start providing booster doses for children under 12 to 17 years old next month. This was announced by Prime Minister Hun Sen on Wednesday. According to the Prime Minister, around two million in this age group will receive their booster doses to increase their protection against the coronavirus, especially the emergence of the new variant. This is also part of the goal to increase the herd immunity against the virus.
Prime Minister Hun Sen says that the booster doses for adolescents will start in Phnom Penh, followed by Kandal province. As of Wednesday, about 88.83% of the total 16 million population of the kingdom have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
