Minister of Information on Bun Rany Hun Sen’s Birthday: “She Gives Warmth to Cambodian People”

PHNOM PENH: The Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith has congratulated and wished her good health for Bun Rany Hun Sen, on the occasion of her 67th birthday on Wednesday, 15 December. The Minister said that she has led the Cambodian Red Cross towards continued success and her presence has always provided warmth for all Cambodian people.

In his congratulatory message to Bun Rany Hun Sen, Minister Khieu Kanharith expressed his appreciation for her devotion to humanitarian work in Cambodia, which has provided warmth and shelter. The Cambodian Red Cross has actively contributed to the Royal Government of Cambodia in helping the hard and the poor people in need during the pandemic.

"On behalf of the leadership and civil servants of the Ministry of Information as a whole and myself and my wife, I am pleased and Pray for the merits of the three jewels and all the sacred objects in the world, please help to nurture and take care of her, please get strong body, bright intellect, wisdom, good health, longevity to continue to lead the institution of the Cambodian Red Cross more recent successes”. Said the Minister of Information.

Bun Rany Hun Sen was born on 15 of December in 1954, as the daughter of a farmer in Krouch Chhmar district, Kampong Cham province (now part of Tbong Khmum province). She has married Prime Minister Hun Sen on the fifth of January of 1976 during the Democratic Cambodia regime.

She became the President of the Cambodian Red Cross on 30 of April of 1998
