Cambodia Wins Three Out of Five in ASEAN Sailing Championships

SIHANOUKVILLE: The 2021 Southeast Asian Sailing Championships officially kicked off on Monday with Cambodian team won the first place in three out of five disciplines at Sokha Beach, Sihanoukville. Thirty-seven competitors from the three nations Cambodia, Singapore and Malaysia competes aiming to strengthen the sailing in the region.

According to the report on the first day of the competition, Cambodian athletes performed well in the four disciplines. Cambodian has won first place in three out of five disciplines. Vice President of the Cambodian Sailing Federation Thong Rathsak has said that the event was attended by 27 athletes from three countries – Cambodia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Players compete in five disciplines of each sport. Each player must compete for at least 16 rounds from 13-17 December then the committee will summarize the points to determine the winner.
