Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia Blocks Websites Posting Child Pornography

PHNOM PENH: The TRC, Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia has released an announcement on Monday, 13 of December, saying that cooperating with the Cambodia National Council for Children (CNCC), the regulator has blocked nine websites and URLs upon finding out that those websites were posting child pornography images and videos in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

TRC has stated it will continue to cooperate with CNCC and other relevant authorities with all telecommunications operators to eliminate all website and URLs posting child pornography images and videos which such acts encourage and induce prostitution business and human trafficking that cause victims to suffer physically and emotionally as well as adversely affect the public order and national dignity.

The Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia has also requested the public to report to TRC through the number 6789 during working hours or through the Facebook page any websites posting child pornography while guaranteeing confidence for everyone reporting such information.
