King Approves Political Reinstatement of Two former CNRP Members

PHNOM PENH: His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni has approved the political reinstatement of the two former members of the Cambodia National Rescue Party. The approval was made last Friday upon the request of Prime Minister Hun Sen. The two can now exercise their full political rights as the King issues Royal Decrees approving them.

King Norodom Sihamoni has approved the political reinstatement of former opposition members Sun Chanthy and Muth Phalla. The two were former members of Cambodia National Rescue Party. Last Friday, King Sihamoni has issued two separate Royal Decrees approving their reinstatement.The move was granted following Prime Minister Hun Sen’s request. They are now granted with political rights.

Sun Chanthy is the former Chairman of Provincial Executive Committee of the former CNRP in Kampong Thom and Muth Phalla is the former Chairman of the Siem Reap Provincial Executive Committee. So far, 26 former CNRP officials have been reinstated out of 118 individuals banned.
