Chinese Man Dies in a Drug Bust Shootout

Sihanoukville: The Anti-Drug Police Department, with the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office, has cooperated with the police force of Preah Sihanouk province and has launched an operation to crack down on large-scale drug processing group on Sunday, inside a mango confectionery factory in Dambang Venh village, Sangke Satop commune of Kampong Speu province.

The crackdown has escalated into a shootout between the police authorities and the drug dealers on National Road 4 , killing on the spot a Chinese man believed to be one of the members of the drug dealers group who were transporting drugs to Sihanoukville.

The police has confiscated about 1,400 kilograms of drugs, found inside the car's compartment.
