The National Center for Person With Disability is Scheduled to be Completed by the End of 2022
KANDAL: The National Center for the Disabled of Cambodia, located in Chok Chheu Neang commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province, is scheduled to be completed in 2022. The center is under construction, with more than 40% completed.
On Saturday morning, 11 December, the Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, Mr. Vong Sauth, together with the Ministry's leadership, has inspected the construction process of the center and brought some gifts to the workers under construction.
The construction project of the National Center for the Disabled of Cambodia is initiated by Minister Vong Sauth with the aim of concentrating the provision of services to people with disabilities with high technical standards to serve the disability sector in accordance with the needs of people with disabilities. The center is located in a 6 hectares land
The ongoing construction projects include: commercial buildings, administrative buildings, rehabilitation buildings, football fields, forums, theaters, restaurants, accommodation, swimming pools, handicrafts, factories, office buildings, handicrafts, fresh water, ponds and playgrounds.
During the inspection of the construction site, the Minister has requested the construction companies to build high quality buildings and implement them in accordance with the agreed standards to ensure the long-term benefits of service to the disability sector in Cambodia. The construction of the National Center for the Disabled of Cambodia is another new achievement for the social sector after the Center for Care and Rehabilitation of the Mentally Retarded and the Youth Rehabilitation Center located in Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province.
