Hun Manet Sends Condolence Message on the Tragic Death of India’s Chief of Defense

PHNOM PENH: Deputy commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and army commander Lieutenant General Hun Manet has expressed his condolence message to the Indian Armed Forces and the people of the Republic of India through a letter on the loss of Indian General Bipin Rawat.

Hun Manet says, “On behalf of the Royal Cambodian Army and myself, I would like to express our heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to the families, the Indian Armed Forces, and the people of the Republic of India for the sudden loss of the chief of Defense Staff general Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 11 other personnel of the armed forces in an extremely unfortunate helicopter accident on 8 December 2021 in Tamil Nadu.”

General Rawat died after the Mi-17V5 helicopter crashed in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. His wife and 11 others aboard also died.
