KANDAL: The Prime Minister of Cambodia has announced that he is committed to restoring the spirit of ASEAN by trying to bring Myanmar back to the ASEAN Summit in the spirit of the Charter of the United Nations.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for a new international airport in Kandal Stung district, Kandal province, he said that leaving Myanmar outside ASEAN is making the country more isolated and ASEAN could not help the Myanmar. Cambodia will take over the rotating chairmanship of ASEAN on 1 January 2022. As the chair of ASEAN in 2022. Prime Minister Hun Sen said that he will go to Myanmar on 7-8 January 2022.
