Cambodia Urges Global Participation for Early Childhood Development

PHNOM PENH: Cambodia’s Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Hang Chuon Naron has called for global participation of the strategic effort for early childhood development. The Minister who is also the Chairman of the National Committee for Early Childhood Care and Development has delivered a message during the launching of the joint strategic effort this week.

Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Hang Chuon Naron has called on all member countries to take part in the implementation of the global partnership strategy for early childhood care and development.

Initiated by UNESCO and partners the launching held on Monday is a global partnership strategy for early childhood development intends to respond to insufficient services to meet the early childhood’s needs such as pre-schooling, health, nutrition, hygiene, and child protection worldwide. It is also aligned with the 2030 agendas, which are the core principles for sustainable development to ensure that children can access a good care and quality education.

Minister Hang Chuon Naron reiterated the ministry's commitment to carry out the strategy to sustainably contribute to protecting and developing small children.
