Minister of Public Works and Transport and Permanent Deputy Chairman of the 38-Road Infrastructure Project in Siem Reap City Sun Chanthol, headed up an inspection of the road construction done, in order to check the quality of the work, and ensure the roads are durable.

The inspection of the construction was extensive and encompassed a swath of elements involved with completing the project, from ornamental plants, rubber traffic signs, dividing lines, roundabouts and improvements to the Royal Palace recreational area.

The project has been extensive, over 108 km of roads have been refurbished, consuming a budget of $149 million. It has been a huge project that turned the town upside down, but now much to the relief of the residents particularly, the end is in sight.

Minister Chanthol has urged the technical team to examine the possibility of planting flowers in front of the entrance to Angkor Wat to attract national and international tourists to be suitable as a cultural and historical center, as well as to help increase the beauty to another level and to pay attention.
