SIHANOUKVILLE: The only way to restart the ailing tourism industry is to market it to the outside world and Sihanoukville provincial authorities are taking the lead, by preparing a video to promote it as a tourism destination. The video is aimed not only at tourist but also at investors who may visit and invest in this coastal province.

During a meeting on the preparation of a video to promote tourism in Sihanoukville on Monday, Deputy Governor of Sihanoukville, Mang Sineth has said that the video to promote tourism in Sihanoukville is important as Sihanoukville is a province that plays an important role for economic and tourism sector.

He has added that the aim is not only sustainable tourism, but will also contribute to the protection and preservation of natural resources, culture and traditions that serve as a basis for tourism and participation to reduce poverty as well.

The deputy governor has also stressed that the promotional video will also include a demonstration of improving the quality of tourism services in Cambodia, especially tourism services in Sihanoukville through the establishment of a quality assurance system that provides security, safety, comfort and increase tourist satisfaction.
