PM to Inspect New Phnom Penh International Airport

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen will visit the new Phnom Penh International Airport in Kandal province on Thursday. The announcement was confirmed by Kandal’s Governor Kong Sophoan. The new airport is located in between Prek Sleng and Boeung Khyang communes of Kandal Stung district.

The construction of the new Phnom Penh International Airport in Kandal and Takeo provinces is already at 30% complete covering an area of 2,600 hectares with investments worth of $1.5 billion. The Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporations is also studying the possibility of building a 20 km flyover bridging from the new Phnom Penh International Airport to the capital.
