PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Health’s study and research team for drugs and equipment against Covid-19, led by Pech Chanmony, and represented by Dr. Sim Sok Chan, signed a contract for 4 million tablets of Merck’s Molnupiravir drug on Friday morning.

Molnupiravir is an antiviral drug used to treat Covid-19, which the Ministry of Health earlier authorized for emergency use. These tablets will be able to treat tens of thousands of Covid-19 patients in Cambodia, and will be available for use in public hospitals, as well as distributed to the private sector, including pharmacies and private clinics.
