Government Holds Workshop on “Impact of False News and Government Solutions”

SIEM REAP: On Friday, journalists throughout the country participated on the workshop of “Impact of False News and Government Solutions” in Siem Reap, working together in order to find responses and mechanisms to reach relevant regulations in order to prevent risks and false information in media outlets across the Kingdom.

The Minister of Information of Cambodia, Khieu Kanharith, held the chairmanship stating the seminar on “Impact of False News and Government Solutions” aims to help journalists to better understand their professional values, set through elucidations from various professional officials on different journalistic aspects.

The Minister has also highly appreciated and commended the journalist professionals for their efforts in organizing this workshop, as many fake news were encountered, especially during the outbreak of Covid-19.

The workshop had also the participation of the Ministry of Justice and a spokesperson of the Royal Government, demonstrating cooperation for the best evolution of Cambodian media.
