Faction Member Arrested for Smuggling People

Battambang: Sampov Loun District Police Inspectorate, in cooperation with the 817th Border Police Battalion, the Sampov Loun District Armed Forces and the 533rd Battalion stationed along the Cambodian-Thai border to crack down on illegal export law for transit.

On Wednesday around 1:30 AM, the police arrested one suspect: Chhum Limsrey, known as Siphet Prus of 33 years old, residing in Veal Vong village, Ta Star commune, Sampov Loun district. He works among another person on a faction, who escaped. He has been accused of conducting related activities of smuggling four workers, two of them females, living outside the Battambang province to cross the border into Thailand.
