Siem Reap Club Fire Kills Three

SIEM REAP: A fire has engulfed the Elite Entertainment Club in Siem Reap Wednesday evening, causing three deaths and one serious injury. According to Siem Reap Provincial Police Commissioner Brigadier General Teng Chan-nath, the Elite Club ceiling caught fire at around 19:30, it quickly took hold causing the tragic deaths.

The three victims were identified as: Ung Sim, male, Thy Mesa, alias Chet, Chhoeun Samnang. The surviving victim was very seriously injured and is now being treated at the hospital is Prak Sophorn. He was a DJ at the club.

Police despatched 10 fire trucks to the scene, immediately after the incident, the Governor of Siem Reap, Tea Seiha and the General Commissioner of the province asked the relevant forces to intervene as not only the club was damaged but many properties in the nearby area.
