Sihanoukville: Prime Minister Hun Sen has stated that after reopening the country, the Kingdom’s national budget revenue has spiraled. He has mentioned this while presiding over the inauguration of road infrastructure, wastewater treatment system and other achievements in Sihanoukville on Thursday morning.

The Prime Minister has recalled that after vaccinating against Covid-19 more than 88 % of the population, the Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to reopen it. The reopening of the country has helped the Cambodian economy to shoot up and people’s lives were back to normal and has improved their income. At the same time, he has also expressed that many infrastructure plans were put on hold because of the Covid-19 pandemic, including projects in Siem Reap province.

He says that the Royal Government has spent more than $2 billion to fight the Covid-19. Prime Minister Hun Sen has further stated that the country would have saved about $5 billion without the pandemic. Nevertheless, he has assured everyone on his willingness to continue to build for the greater good of the people.
