BREAKING NEWS: Phnom Pens Opens KTVs and Entertainment Clubs

PHNOM PENH: Phnom Penh Capital Administration has announced to reopen the KTV, disco clubs and other entertainment businesses in the capital that were hardly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. The announcement came on Tuesday.

In the announcement, the administration says, “Location owners or business owners of karaoke, bars and discos need to be assigned staff in front of the entrance to inspect the vaccination card in accordance with the instructions of the Phnom Penh Capital Administration and must always adhere to the "3 protection measures" by Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in strict accordance with the Minimum Standards (SOP) of the Ministry of Tourism, guidelines of relevant ministries and institutions and strict health safety measures the temperature, clean and spray disinfectant.”

Phnom Penh Administration says that if any owners or management of the high-risk businesses not implemented the SOPs, they will be subject to administrative sanctions and legal sanctions, including public disclosure of offenders in accordance with the law on measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and other serious and dangerous infectious diseases and legal regulations.

Recently, Prime Minister Hun Sen has been advising KTV owners and entertainment clubs to be patient in waiting for the Royal Government's decision until the end of November.
