Visakha Defeats Preah Khan Reach at Hun Sen Football Tournament

PHNOM PENH: For the second time in a row, Visakha Football Club has won the Samdech Techo Hun Sen football Championship beating Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng. The tournament was held on Thursday at Smart RSN Stadium.

In the final match between Visakha Football Club and Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng for 90 minutes plus 30 minutes last night, both teams kept the score 2 to 2 equals. Both teams are close to 5 goals, while Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng failed to score the fifth penalty, making Visakha football team Continued to hold the new championship while Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng received number two.

Visakha Football Team secured the top, followed by Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and at number three for the Boeung Ket while Phnom Penh Crown for the Fair-Play.

The champion Visakha Football Team has received a trophy with a prize money $25,000; $15,000 for the second and $7,500 for the third spot. The Fair-play team received $750 as well as the other individual awards such as the top scorer, best goalkeeper and coach.
