Cambodia to Host AFF U23 Championship 2022

PHNOM PENH: The Football Federation of Cambodia has officially announced Cambodia’s right to host the AFF U23 Championship 2022 on Wednesday. The match will be held at Morodok Techo National Stadium and Prince Stadium of Visakha Football Club on February next year.

The President of the Football Federation of Cambodia, General Sao Sokha, announced with great pleasure that Cambodia will be hosting the ASEAN Football Federation Under-23 Championship in 2022. He has thanked the Football Federation of Southeast Asia for trusting Cambodia to host this regional event, and promised to organize a successful youth competition.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from 14 to 26 February in 2022, with 12 AFF members participating from Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, East Timor, Brunei and Australia. This is the first official international tournament scheduled to take place at the Morodok Techo National Stadium.

Cambodia will also host the 32nd South East Asian Games in 2023 at the country’s first modern multipurpose and international standard sports facility.
