PHNOM PENH: Another success for Cambodia’s campaign against drug trafficking on Monday. A total of 38 people have been arrested in the kingdom’s fight against the circulation of drugs in the country. This was following the arrest of a Canadian national with over 167 kilograms of drugs seized by the police authorities.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, General Khieu Sopheak has confirmed on Tuesday that at least 38 suspects of drug and criminal offenses had been apprehended across the country on Monday. The Ministry has commended the effort of the drug enforcement law forces for their hard work in cracking down on crime and serving the people of Cambodia.
At the same time, General Khieu Sopheak has called on all citizens to embrace the slogan "Three Don’ts, One Report" from Cambodia’s national anti-drug campaign. He has asked citizens to avoid getting involved with drugs, and to also play their part in reporting drug offenses and other crimes.
Monday’s drug crackdown achievement follows the arrest of a Canadian national in Phnom Penh where 167 kilograms of different variations of drugs were seized by the arresting authorities.
